Let’s keep each other safe and help communities.
To ensure everyone’s safety, we’ve taken steps to limit face-to-face interactions.
With Donate the Change, Seamless customers can support organizations that help restaurants and drivers.
All Seamless delivery orders are now contact-free, by default. Drivers can follow customer instructions to safely deliver orders, minimizing face-to-face interactions. Customers can also opt in for curbside pickup.
Restaurants can now enable curbside pickup on their Grubhub for Restaurants account, allowing drivers and customers to pick up orders without entering the restaurant.
Visit the CDC website to learn more about food delivery safety.
Seamless is also continuing to match the budget you set in Smart Promotions dollar-for-dollar, up to 5% of your previous month’s sales. You can customize Smart Promotions to help you gain new customers, bring customers back, or boost orders.
Our digital marketing toolkit gives you resources to communicate with your customers across social media, email, and more, so you can let them know you’re still open and taking orders. We’ve expanded our toolkit with templates for contact-free delivery and curbside pickup.
We understand that these are difficult times for small businesses, so we have put together a list of actions your restaurant can take to be safe, help generate more orders and give your customers a better experience.
Seamless customers can donate their change to the Seamless Community Relief Fund at checkout, and proceeds will go to organizations that support members of our community who have been impacted by COVID-19, including restaurants, delivery partners and those in need.

What is the Seamless Community Relief Fund?
The Seamless Community Relief Fund (SCRF) was established in March 2020 as a way to activate our more than 22 million diners to donate their change to support charitable organizations helping drivers, restaurants, and those in need impacted by COVID-19. We make it easy for customers to contribute through Donate the Change, where 100% of donations from our diners currently go to the SCRF. The SCRF donates funds to local and national organizations that support restaurants and drivers during this challenging time. Additionally, Seamless+ (and Grubhub+) members who opt-in to Donate the Change will have their donations matched by the company on Seamless+ eligible orders.
What is “Donate the Change” and how does it work?
Donate the Change is a Seamless feature in which diners can opt-in at checkout to round up their order to the nearest dollar and donate the difference to certain causes and charitable organizations. Right now, funds are being donated to the Seamless Community Relief Fund supporting charitable organizations that support drivers and restaurants impacted by the coronavirus outbreak.
How can I donate more than just my rounded up change to the Seamless Community Relief Fund?
At this point, the only way to donate to the fund is through your order. You can double your impact by signing up for our membership program, Seamless+. Seamless matches 100% of Seamless+ member donations on Seamless+ eligible orders.
How have these specific organizations been selected?
We’ve assigned an internal task force responsible for working with local officials and experts, and for researching the range of organizations that have been either newly established or focus their efforts on supporting those impacted by COVID-19. Most importantly, we work to strike a balance between the communities we’re supporting (our restaurants, drivers, and diners in need), and both national and local markets severely impacted. We’ll continue to evaluate a variety of organizations as additional funds become available.
How do I donate to the Seamless Community Relief Fund?
Once you select a restaurant and place your menu items in your bag, there is a “Donate the Change” section at checkout. You can toggle it on/off whenever you choose and when toggled on, Seamless automatically rounds up your order to the nearest dollar and issues your donation to the selected cause.
Can I submit a proposal for a grant from the fund?
We’re always open to reviewing organizations and seeing where we can help. Please email all requests to [email protected]

Expanding our commitment to local communities, we’ve launched partnerships to ensure our healthcare workers are getting the meals they need while working around the clock. By teaming up with companies like Verizon, the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), and Hellmann’s Food Relief Fund, an extension to the Unilever ‘United for America’ initiative, we’re delivering meals via the Seamless platform to those working on the front lines, while fueling local restaurants.
